Filmmaking

I've worked on about a dozen films, mostly shorts. I've written and directed several, and filmed my last majo short film, Tarn.


As part of the collective DIY Films, we made four films (One-Life Stand, Edmonds, Sotto Voce, and Maybe). Count to Three (see below), was filmed in 2017 and first shown in March 2018. It tells the story of two men in a room. With guns. It won a few awards (1st for Comedy and runner up in the Frome 5-Minute Festival, 2nd in the Penny Cup and 3rd in the Teign Cup).

Marigolds was awarded 4 starts by BIAFF. Damaged   was winner of BIAFF's 2022 Denham Gold Cup. Tarn was recently completed. It was an iPhone 12 film which I shot myself over a few days. It will be shown at Homegrown Shorts in March.

I've also recently made 2 really short films as part of the second residency as part of the Porthleven Prize. The first was a music video made from footage taken in an afternoon and then edited in a morning: Stars. The second was Cold Scalp, a 30-second short filmed in a pub and edited by Emma Davies.
